Payment services giant Visa announced the promotion of General Counsel Julie Rottenberg to executive vice president.

Rottenberg was appointed to the general counsel position as a senior vice president earlier this year. In her new role, she will assume oversight of Visa’s global legal and compliance function from Kelly Mahon Tullier, who was promoted to vice chair, chief people and administrative officer.

Rottenberg joined Visa in the litigation team 13 years ago. She was previously a partner at law firm Arnold & Porter.
