Facebook this week announced the appointment of Susan Taylor as chief accounting officer, effective April 17. She will assume this role from Jas Athwal, who notified the company of his intent to resign, effective as of February.
Taylor is vice president, controller, and chief accounting officer of LinkedIn, a professional social-networking company, having served in such roles since January 2012. She will resign from such roles effective March 24.
From August 2009 to January 2012, Taylor was vice president, controller, and chief accounting officer of Silver Spring Networks, a provider of networking solutions, and from October 2008 to August 2009, she was the senior director, accounting policy of search engine Yahoo. Earlier in her career, Taylor spent over 13 years at PwC in various accounting roles.
