Marathon Petroleum has named Molly Benson as corporate secretary and chief compliance officer.

Benson began her career with Marathon Petroleum in 1998 and has held several positions within the law organization, where she supported both its operations and corporate organizations. She was appointed as assistant general counsel for all corporate and finance activities in 2012.

In other news, J. Michael Wilder, vice president, general counsel and secretary, will retire, effective March 1. Suzanne Gagle, who has served as assistant general counsel with Marathon Petroleum's law litigation and human resources organization, will assume the role of vice president and general counsel.
