OncoSec Medical, a biopharmaceutical company, has promoted Sheela Mohan-Peterson to chief legal and compliance officer, effective Aug. 24.
In this role, Mohan-Peterson will advise the company's officers and board of directors on all major legal matters and continue to lead the company's intellectual property portfolio and global legal strategy.
Mohan-Peterson has spent 29 years working in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries and joined OncoSec in September 2014, serving as general counsel and corporate secretary. She most recently was a senior patent counsel at Merck & Co., and also held patent counsel positions at several other companies, including Schering-Plough Biopharma, DNAX Research Institute, Incyte Genomics, and Roche Bioscience.
