Pacific Drilling has promoted Richard Tatum, currently vice president and controller, to serve as senior vice president and chief accounting officer.

Tatum joined Pacific Drilling in 2010, and has served as its VP, controller, and principal accounting officer since March 2014. Prior to that, Tatum served as director of financial reporting. Tatum has over 15 years of experience in offshore drilling and public accounting.

Tatum’s appointment follows a series of other management changes at Pacific Drilling:

Chief Executive Officer Christian Beckett has stepped down to pursue other opportunities;

Paul Reese, currently executive vice president and chief financial officer, has been promoted to serve as CEO;

Johannes Boots, currently SVP of finance, and treasurer, has been promoted to serve as SVP and CFO.

Beckett has agreed to make himself available to assist during the transition.
