In the latest edition of the Compliance Week podcast we talk to Cynthia Dow, who leads the Legal Officers Practice at Russell Reynolds Associates, an executive search consultancy. She was the author of a recent report, “How the Chief Compliance Officer role is Transforming Across Financial Services,” examining the changing talent requirements for CCOs in that sector.

Among the findings we discuss: banking CCOs are increasingly focused on driving cultural change, rather than simply managing their institutions’ approach to regulation: and a trend afoot at a number of large to mid-sized asset managers where the compliance function is being separated from legal.
