Paris, France-based Publicis Groupe, a digital, technology, and consulting company, has appointed Joseph LaSala general counsel. He replaces Eric Antoine Fredette, who is moving on to a new career opportunity.

LaSala brings to Publicis Group 20 years of experience as general counsel of five U.S.-based public companies. Most recently, he served as general counsel of Sapient, where he has been for the last four years. Prior to that time, LaSala worked in the media and entertainment, enterprise software, technology consulting, and oil and gas industries.

Chief Procurement Officer

In other news, Publicis Groupealso announced the hiring of Rachid Assas as chief procurement officer. Assas assumes the role from Charlotte Duthoo, who joined Publicis Worldwide as vice president of talent and transformation. Rachid brings with him over 25 years of business experience at Renault-Nissan (15 years of which he spent in procurement), in France and overseas. He most recently was vice president in charge of all indirect procurement for the Renault-Nissan Alliance worldwide, as well as the Asia Pacific procurement for Renault.
