Synapse Financial Technologies, the troubled California fintech software provider, has agreed to let the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) eventually file a claim on its bankrupt estate.

Synapse provided software that acted as a “bridge” between fintechs and traditional banks, including Evolve Bank and Trust, Lineage Bank, and AMG National Trust Bank, the CFPB said in an adversary proceeding complaint.
