Seaboard, a global, food, and engery transportation company, has appointed Michael Trollinger as corporate controller and chief accounting officer effective as of March 31, the company announced this week in a Form 8-K filing. 

Trollinger, who brings over 17 years of financial expertise to Seaboard, has extensive accounting and finance experience with public companies, including financial reporting in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, various filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission, and compliance with various applicable laws and regulations. Most recently, from 2011 to 2015, Trollinger served as vice president of finance and operational reporting for Jack Cooper Enterprises.

He also spent over 13 years in public accounting, most recently as senior audit manager from 2009 to 2011 with Grant Thornton. Trollinger also previously worked for KPMG and Arthur Andersen. While at KPMG, Seaboard was one of his audit clients for several years while serving as senior audit manager.
