The SEC has named Erin E. Schneider as the new Associate Regional Director for enforcement in its San Francisco office. As Associate Regional Director, Schneider will lead the team of attorneys, accountants and other professionals who investigate and litigate the San Francisco office’s enforcement efforts for Northern California and the Pacific Northwest.

Schneider joined the SEC's San Francisco office in 2005 as a staff attorney and was named an Assistant Regional Director in 2012.  She has also served as a member of the Enforcement Division's Asset Management Unit since its inception in 2010.  Previously, Schneider worked in private practice with the law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, and as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.

Schneider fills the key West Coast enforcement role that was left vacant when Michael Dicke departed the agency in October 2014 to join law firm Fenwick & West. Jina L. Choi, Director of the San Francisco Regional Office, stated that Schneider has "been instrumental in the success of the San Francisco office" over the past decade.
