Online social networking service Twitter has appointed Robert Kaiden as chief accounting officer, effective as of June 1.

Kaiden joins Twitter from auditing firm Deloitte & Touche, where he served in several roles since joining the firm in 1989. Most recently, he was an audit partner from 2000 to May 2015.

Following Kaiden’s appointment, Gordon Lee, Twitter’s controller and interim chief accounting officer, will continue to serve as controller.
