In the first enforcement case of its kind, International Business Machines (IBM) settled allegations that it violated the False Claims Act (FCA) by applying diversity hiring policies in federal contractsโ€”a practice that was required by past administrations but that the Trump Administration contends leads to discrimination against white people, especially men.

IBM will pay $17 million to settle the allegations posed by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).
