Wedbush Securities is pleased to announce that James ("Jim") F. Kearney III has been named Chief Risk Officer at Wedbush Securities. Jim, who was previously Senior Vice President of Risk Management at the firm, is a seasoned veteran with over 27 years of experience in the financial industry. His new role at Wedbush encompasses the development and implementation that exemplifies the strengthening of the firm's approach to risk, thereby better ensuring the safety and protection of its clients.
Prior to joining Wedbush, Jim served as Senior Risk Manager and Head Commodity Futures/Options Trader at Archelon LLC, where he oversaw product diversification, risk management, compliance, and strategy. Before joining Archelon, Jim was also Head Firm Trader and Member of the firm's Risk Committee at Ritchie Capital Management, where he served as Co-CEO of the firm's Commodity Fund. Jim is currently a member of CBOT (since 1990), a member of the National Futures Association (since 1990), and an ICE Member (since 2009). He also holds his Series 3 & 7 licenses.
