YRC Worldwide has named James Fry as general counsel and secretary for YRC Worldwide, effective April 20.

Fry will be leaving his position as general counsel and secretary at truckload carrier Swift Transportation, where he worked since 2008. He also has eight years legal experience in private practice in Pennsylvania and 15 years legal experience as in-house corporate counsel, according to his LinkedIn page.

YRC Worldwide is holding company for a portfolio of less-than-truckload (LTL) companies, including YRC Freight, YRC Reimer, Holland, Reddaway, and New Penn.
