$3 billion spice maker McCormick & Co., has announced the retirement of Robert Skelton as general counsel, effective Jan. 1.

Succeeding him will be company veteran W. Geoffrey Carpenter, who joined McCormick 24 years ago and has been associate general counsel since 1996.
