The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) accused business credit reporting company Dun & Bradstreet of failing to comply with the commission’s 2022 order.
Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) agreed to pay $5.7 million to the FTC for allegations that the firm failed to provide correct info about its services to customers before renewing subscriptions, which led to individuals being overcharged, and misrepresenting how its products could improve customers’ credit scores. These actions violated a 2022 order against the company when the FTC alleged it deceived customers about its products and did not correct errors on credit reports.
