A major online site used by cybercriminals to buy and sell information stolen from corporations and individuals worldwide has been shut down by an international enforcement action, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced.

The enormous LeakBase forum, considered one of the largest criminal sites, contained hundreds of millions of usernames and passwords stolen from corporations by cybercriminals, some through high-profile cyberattacks, the DOJ said in a press release Wednesday. The forum launched in 2021 and by December 2025, had more than 142,000 criminal member-users who accessed the forum to buy and sell the stolen information, including corporate and personal credit card numbers and bank account numbers.
