Insurance company AmeriTrust Group announced the promotion of Paul Johnson to chief risk officer to oversee the company's enterprise risk management efforts. In this capacity, Johnson will be responsible for identifying, monitoring, and managing strategic, financial, and operational risks across the AmeriTrust organization.

“As chief risk officer, Paul will provide the leadership necessary to implement our risk management framework in every aspect of our insurance business,” said AmeriTrust President and Chief Executive Officer Kenn Allen.

Johnson is a 23-year veteran of AmeriTrust with over 30 years of insurance and risk management experience. Prior to the appointment as chief risk officer, Johnson held the position of senior vice president, enterprise risk management. In his new position, Johnson will report to AmeriTrust's Chief Actuary Gregory Kushnir and to the AmeriTrust board of directors.
