BillingTree, a payment technology and services provider, has appointed Barton Bright as general counsel and chief compliance officer.

Bright will lead the compliance and risk teams at BillingTree, which monitor not only internal compliance concerns, but also ensure BillingTree customers in all markets have the tools to remain compliant in the face of increasing regulatory scrutiny.

Bright joins BillingTree as a member of the executive team. He  joins the company from SunTrust, where he managed credit card compliance for the $200 billion bank, and FactorTrust, where he held the position of general counsel and vice president of compliance. Bright brings over 20 years experience in the compliance sector to the firm.
