Corning, Inc., a world leader in specialty glass and ceramics, has named Carlos Gutierrez, former U.S. Secretary of Commerce to its Board of Directors, starting immediately. Gutierrez will hold office until Corning’s annual meeting of shareholders on April 29, 2010, at which time it is expected he will be nominated to serve a three-year term.
