Novagold Resources,  a precious metals company engaged in the development of mineral properties in North America, has announced the election of directors from its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders held on May 4. It has also reduced its board size from eleven to ten members.

Diane Garrett was elected as a new director, effective May 4, and Gerald McConnell retired as a director after not standing for re-election after more than three decades of service to the company.
