Brandywine, an asset management firm, has appointed Daniel Palazzo as chief accounting officer, effective Jan. 15, 2015. Palazzo will assume this role from Thomas Wirth, who will continue in his current role as executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Palazzo joined Brandywine in 1999 as corporate controller, holding that position until 2004, when he became the director of operations for the firm's New Jersey region. Currently, he serves as a vice president of asset management, a position he has held since 2006.

Prior to joining Brandywine, Palazzo worked for Arthur Andersen in its commercial audit division, where he concentrated on real estate, construction, and financial services industries.
