Copeland Capital Management has named Sofia Rosala general counsel and chief compliance officer.

Her primary responsibility is maintaining an effective compliance program for both the firm and its funds. She served as U.S. counsel and deputy head of compliance at Aberdeen Asset Management from 2012 until March 2016, when she joined Copeland Capital Management.

Prior to joining Aberdeen, she was corporate counsel for Vertex from 2011 to 2012, a senior associate at Morgan, Lewis and Bockius from 2008 to 2011, and was corporate counsel at SEI Investments from 1998 to 2008.
