Crawford Lake Capital Management, an investment management firm, has appointed Dov Lando as general counsel and chief compliance officer, effective immediately. In this newly created role, Lando will report to Jeff Schachter, president and chief operating officer.

Lando joins from MKP Capital Management, where he spent six years as general counsel with responsibility for managing global legal and compliance operations. At Crawford Lake, Lando will oversee all legal, regulatory and compliance matters, while also working with the firm’s executive committee on strategic initiatives.

Prior to his six years at MKP Capital, Lando was general counsel at Arden Asset Management, and before that he was assistant general counsel at American International Group. He began his career at Schulte Roth & Zabel, where he advised a diverse client base on various hedge fund and investment management issues.
