Olaf Schick has been appointed as the new chief compliance officer at Daimler, effective March 1, 2017. Thus, he will also head group compliance.

He succeeds to Wolfgang Herb, who will retire on Dec. 31, 2016 after more than 25 years with the company.

Since 2015, Schick has been chief financial officer at Mercedes-Benz Russia. From 2010 until 2015, he was head of mergers and acquisitions at Daimler Greater China.

Schick joined the legal department at Daimler AG as a lawyer in 2004.
