A California privacy agency plans to seek a whistleblower law, to encourage corporate employees and others to step forward with complaints about egregious privacy violations at their workplaces.

The California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA), a rule-making and enforcement agency, voted 4-0 during a November 7 board meeting to approach the legislature on drafting a comprehensive, whistleblower law focused on privacy violations at companies statewide.
