Products using wood, cattle, cocoa, coffee, palm oil, rubber and soy are set to come under new U.K. deforestation legislation, similar to the EU’s Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). The rules would also apply to certain products derived from these, including chocolate and furniture.

The rules will put pressure on companies to understand their supply chains and introduce safeguards and controls so they can demonstrate where their products originate and what goes into their manufacturing process.
