The EU Parliament has agreed to simplify European chemicals regulations to boost
competitiveness, but compliance teams should note that the Members of the European Parliment (MEPs) voted to retain some rules to protect consumers and the environment. Lawyers have also warned that while the EU may be reducing requirements, some individual states are introducing national restrictions.
