Cybersecurity has become one of the most important parts of business operations, particularly as companies face a data breach, attack, or disruption of service. But the impact this responsibility is having on cyber pros needs more attention.
The issue is taking on increased importance because of company leadership’s response to it, said Tim Miller, lead compliance officer at MorganFranklin. Speaking at Compliance Week’s 20th Anniversary Conference, Miller said executive and board member responses to high-profile cyber incidents have been poor, particularly after ignoring their cyber team’s repeated requests for better security tools.
