In his swan song, Financial Services Authority head Adair Turner praised the work of the regulatory agency in reforming prudential supervision, setting new standards, and tightening regulations during both his tenure and its last year.
Turner served as executive chairman of the FSA from September 2008 until the agency’s dissolution took effect this April. By order of the U.K. government, the agency’s duties were split between two new bodies, the Prudential Regulation Authority and the Financial Conduct Authority.
