$1.8 billion Metals USA Holdings Corp., one of the largest metal service center businesses in the country, announced today that Senior Vice President and General Counsel John Hageman has retired as of May 14. He has been with the company for over twelve years. The company has not announced a successor at this time.

The announcement of Hageman’s retirement comes just one day after the Houston, Texas-based company filed an inital public offering. The company is taking the proposed ticker of “MUX” on NYSE. For filing purposes, it intends to sell up to $200 million in common stock.
