News Corp. today announced a restructuring of its compliance function, in the wake of its phone hacking scandal and in advance of a likely breakup of the sprawling business into separate news and entertainment companies.

In a memo first circulated to News Corp. employees and then announced by the Wall Street Journal, the company said general counsel Gerson Zweifach will now add the title of chief compliance officer, and associate general counsel Lisa Fleischman will assume the title of deputy compliance officer.
