Earlier this month our compliance compatriots in Latin America gathered in Argentina, for the 2013 Latin America Congress on Ethics, Transparency & Compliance. The event was held in Buenos Aires, and drew more than 200 compliance professionals. I attended the first annual LatAm Congress last year and learned quite a bit about compliance issues in that part of the world, and I recommend the event highly to anyone in South America who wants some professional networking.
