Electric services provider PPL Corporation has promoted Vincent Sorgi, the controller of its largest business segment, to the position of vice president and corporate controller, effective immediately. He replaces J. Matt Simmons, who had served as PPL’s vice president and controller for three years before being named vice president of risk management and chief risk officer in September 2009.
