Geoswift, a provider of cross-border payments between China and the rest of the world, has named Michael Kireopoulos as Global Head of Compliance. He will be based in Geoswift’s San Francisco office.

Kireopoulos will be responsible for managing all facets of global compliance, with a specific focus on enhancing Geoswift’s global compliance network to safely facilitate secure and reliable payments. He will provide leadership and guidance for a group of managers and staff to implement comprehensive compliance processes, which includes meeting anti-money laundering and money transmission regulatory standards.

During Kireopoulos' previous 15-year career at Visa, he helped lead the creation and implementation of company-wide compliance policies, procedures and oversight. Prior to working at Visa, he held various compliance leadership positions at Franklin Templeton, Citigroup and the Federal Reserve Bank. He holds a Master of Science degree from Notre Dame de Namur University and a Bachelor of Science degree from San Francisco State University.
