The Walt Disney Company has promoted Alicia Schwarz to senior vice president and chief compliance officer.

Schwarz noted the appointment on her LinkedIn profile this month. She had been deputy chief compliance counsel (global) at Disney since February 2020 after a two-year stint at the company as vice president, assistant general counsel.

Schwarz takes over the chief compliance officer position at Disney from Jack Yellin, whose current status at the company is unclear following the promotion. Yellin had been serving as CCO since 2011.

In her prior role at Disney, Schwarz advised the leaders in each of the company’s business segments and oversaw a compliance training and awareness program that services over 200,000 global cast members and employees. She has over 20 years of experience in compliance, internal audit, and investigations.

Schwarz was named Compliance Innovator of the Year at Compliance Week’s 2020 Excellence in Compliance Awards.
