Handelsbanken, a Swedish consumer banking company, has announced the appointment of Martin Noréus as chief compliance officer.

Noréus is currently deputy director general of the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority, Finansinspektionen. He will assume his new position by March 2020, the bank said.
