Intra-Cellular Therapies, a biopharmaceutical company, has appointed Karen Sheehy as chief compliance officer. She will report directly to CEO Sharon Mates and the company’s board of directors.

Sheehy has over 25 years of experience concentrated in pharmaceutical compliance and legal matters. In prior roles, she led compliance functions at Mallincrodt Pharmaceuticals as chief compliance officer and at Sanofi as vice president, head of North America compliance.

Prior to moving to the pharmaceutical industry, Sheehy was in private practice at Riker, Danzig, Scherer, Hyland & Perretti and was an adjunct Professor of Law at Seton Hall Law School.
