Motiva Enterprises, an oil and energy firm, announced the appointment of Amy Marlyse Plato as executive vice president, general counsel. As a member of Motiva’s executive leadership team, Plato’s responsibilities include serving as corporate secretary and business compliance officer.

Plato succeeds Chris Vice, who retired after performing the role since 2011.

Plato comes to Motiva after spending seven years as senior counsel at Aramco Services Company (ASC), Prior to joining ASC, Plato was a partner at Zabel Freeman, a litigation boutique in Houston, and with Mayer Brown, an international law firm.
