National Health Investors (NHI) announced it has hired David Travis as senior vice president and chief accounting officer, effective May 1. Travis will be replacing Ron Reel, who will be retiring Dec. 31, 2020.

Travis has over 20 years of accounting and financial reporting experience, including over 12 years as a chief accounting officer for publicly traded healthcare REITs.

Prior to joining NHI, Travis was the chief accounting officer with MedEquities Realty Trust from 2014 through the completion of its merger with Omega Healthcare Investors in 2019. He was chief accounting officer for Healthcare Realty Trust Incorporated from 2006-2014.
