Trane Technologies, a global climate innovator that will soon spin off from Ingersoll Rand, named Heather Howlett as its future vice president and chief accounting officer.

Howlett will assume the role upon completion of Ingersoll Rand’s merger with Gardner Denver announced in April 2019. While the merged industrial segment will continue under the name Ingersoll Rand, the remaining global climate segment will operate under the name Trane Technologies. The transaction is expected to close in early 2020.

Howlett will be responsible for strategic leadership and oversight of accounting matters for Trane Technologies. She will report to Chief Financial Officer Christopher Kuehn.

Howlett joined Ingersoll Rand in August 2019 as vice president and corporate controller. Prior to joining the company, she held finance roles of increasing importance at Catalent, Honeywell, and Tyco. She began her career in public accounting at PwC.
