Walmart has appointed David Searle as vice president, chief ethics and compliance officer for international, effective May 28.

Prior to this role, Searle served as chief compliance officer and deputy general counsel for Bristow Group, a global industrial aviation services company. In that role, his areas of responsibility included anti-corruption, trade compliance, antitrust, insider trading, and overseeing all internal investigations.

Prior to Bristow Group, Searle was a director of compliance at chemicals and plastics distributor Nexeo Solutions, and he served as audit and investigations counsel at Baker Hughes prior to that. He began his career as an associate at Baker Botts before becoming an assistant U.S. attorney in Texas.

At Walmart, Searle will report to Daniel Trujillo, executive vice president, global chief ethics and compliance officer. Searle assumes the role from Trujillo, who was promoted to his current position in February 2019.
