World Wrestling Entertainment has appointed Karen Mullane as controller and principal accounting officer.

The appointment, announced in a regulatory filing, coincides with the departure of Corporate Controller Mark Kowal after 19 years with the company. Kowal is one of several executives to recently be released by the WWE—a list that reportedly includes General Counsel Brian Nurse.

Since April 2020, Mullane served as chief financial officer of CreateMe Technologies. Prior to that, from January 2019 until April 2020, she served as vice president and corporate controller of ticket platform SeatGeek.

From July 2018 until January 2019, Mullane was vice president and corporate controller, chief accounting officer for fitness company SoulCycle, and she served as vice president and corporate controller for online marketplace Etsy from January 2014 to November 2017.
