Kroll, a division of global advisor Duff & Phelps, announced the appointment of Thomas Brittain as an associate managing director in the Cyber Risk practice.

Brittain, who will be based in St. Louis, has over 14 years of information security experience advising organizations on secure configurations, risk reduction, incident response, and tackling tough security challenges.

Brittain joins Kroll from Carbon Black, where he was senior manager and co-creator of the firm’s global incident response partner program. Prior to Carbon Black, he held positions with the U.S. Department of Defense and Intelligence Community, including as a cyber-security engineer for the Air Force’s Scope EDGE team, and he also has experience serving as an information and cyber-security specialist for the aerospace industry and the Air National Guard.
