Finance services firm Duff & Phelps announced the hiring of Adam August as a director in the Compliance and Regulatory Consulting (CRC) practice.
Based in Dallas, August will lead the expansion of Duff & Phelps’ CRC offering to the Texas area. He has over 11 years of experience in corporate and securities law.
August joins Duff & Phelps from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer and Feld LLP, where he was senior counsel in the Investment Funds and Private Equity Practice Group. He has advised investment managers of private funds with respect to private placements, complex federal and state registration and exemption issues for investment advisers, commodity pool operators and commodity trading advisers, as well as other corporate matters and compliance issues beginning with the initial fundraising process and continuing throughout the life of the fund.
