British Broadcasting Corp. (BBC) announced the appointment of Chinny Okolidoh as director of diversity and inclusion, effective later this year.

Okolidoh, who will be responsible for ensuring BBC accurately reflects the audiences it serves, will oversee the merger of workforce and creative diversity responsibilities to ensure strategic oversight of all diversity commitments.

She will also oversee the development and implementation of initiatives related to on-air and production talent representation, commissioning guidelines, diversity and inclusion training programs, and metrics to measure progress.

Okolidoh currently serves as director of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) at cosmetics brand L’Oréal in the U.K. and Ireland division.

Previously, she worked as the global head of DEI at Depop. Earlier in her career, Okolidoh worked in finance, where she held various roles and led several diversity and inclusion programs and initiatives.
