Campbell Soup Company announced the appointment of Charles Brawley III as executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, effective Nov. 30.

Brawley will report to President and Chief Executive Mark Clouse. He joined the company in 2016 and most recently served as senior vice president, corporate secretary and deputy general counsel, overseeing Campbell’s legal functions of corporate governance, securities law, and commercial contracts.

Prior to this, he was senior vice president, secretary and associate general counsel of Lincoln Financial Group. He also spent several years at PMA Capital Corp. and Cigna Corp.
