Healthcare research and technology company Clario announced the appointment of Julia James as chief legal and administrative officer.

In her role, she will drive the company’s legal and compliance strategy.

James served as executive vice president and general counsel of contract research organization PPD until its acquisition by Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2021. She then continued as general counsel, clinical research.

She spent more than 15 years in various legal leadership roles at PPD. Prior to that, she worked for the international law firm Clifford Chance in both London and Dubai.
