The Federal Reserve Bank of New York announced the appointment of Mihaela Nistor as chief risk officer and head of the risk group.

Nistor brings nearly two decades of experience in data and risk management roles in finance and the financial technology sectors and will join the bank’s executive committee. She succeeds Joshua Rosenburg, who moved back into an advisory role with the bank in April.

Most recently, Nistor served as global head of enterprise risk management at Bloomberg. Her responsibilities included access control and privileging program management, data protection and program governance, technology innovation, and risk monitoring.

Prior to Bloomberg, she held the title of chief risk officer for HSBC Americas Private Banking. She also held compliance and risk leadership roles at HSBC and Citigroup.

“I’m very honored to join such a prestigious institution and work alongside very talented colleagues,” she wrote in a LinkedIn post.
