Biotechnology company GreenLight Biosciences announced the promotion of Deputy General Counsel Nina Thayer to general counsel and chief compliance officer.

Thayer succeeds David Kennedy, who is planning to retire but will stay with the company in the interim as an adviser.

She brings more than a decade of legal experience to the role, including previously serving as vice president of legal affairs at Gemini Therapeutics, according to her LinkedIn profile.

She also previously held the roles of vice president and general counsel, deputy general counsel, and corporate counsel with Allied Minds for nearly six years. She began her legal career as an associate with Goodwin Procter.
